Equine and Pet Sessions

Animals have always been a part of my life.  I have ridden, owned and showed horses and ponies  since I was six; in fact, I think my first word may have been “horse!” Cats, dogs, rabbits, rats, guinea pigs, and even lizards have all been a part of my family at one time or another. I currently share my life with two cats, a dog and a horse (along with my husband and daughter, who is off at college with my grand-kitten!). I love all animals and am quiet and comfortable around them.  It is so important for animals to get to know you on their own terms, so sessions always begin with some quiet introduction.  I never rush, and will let your horse or pet set the tone.  I shoot with an eye toward creating timeless art, as well as providing some fun, playful memories of your best friends.

Sessions start at $100 for pets and $125 for horses, and include:

Pre-shoot consultation and session preparation tips

1-3 hour shoot (including treats for your four-legged friends!)

Post-shoot viewing session

Personalized, thoughtful editing of all images before you view them

Final prints/products beautifully wrapped in eco-friendly packaging and hand-delivered to your home

All prints and products are done by professional printers.  Prints start at $30, gallery-wrapped canvas at $225. Packages begin at $225.

Group rates are available for horse sessions and we can meet at your local barn or favorite riding spot.  We have some beautiful cross country and dressage facilities in the area. Group sessions at one of these sites offer great photo opportunities with less stress and more chances to get that perfect shot than at the horse shows. I can also meet at horse shows for private shoots, but only if there is not an official show photographer on the grounds.

Mini sessions are now available in the Gig Harbor/Port Orchard area for $50--email or call for details.

 Stock/Art Information

Most of the work on my site, with a few exceptions in the horse and pet galleries, is available as stock and/or art images.  Art pricing is included with the images; however, if you don’t see the size or product you want listed, please contact me. With stock images, I prefer to get to know my customers, so please send me an email via the Contact page (or give me a call) if you are interested.  I can do phone or in-person consultations, and I’m happy to go shoot on spec if I don’t have what you want. Once you become a client, I will always keep you in mind when I’m out shooting and will provide personal galleries with work you may be interested in for the future. I may not be a big company or as cheap as microstock, but I can guarantee that the image you buy from me won’t show up on your competitor’s brochure two weeks later (and I’ve seen this happen!).
